• She challenges these “already awesome” players into trying something new (formation)to further enhance their capabilities.
• She gives everyone a chance to play. Not every game, since she only has 3 subs available. We witnessed Mitts, Loyden, Heath, O’Hara see daylight and come out of the bench. We barely saw that in the World Cup.
• I think it’s wise to always keep Morgan in the bench for the first half. I myself is an Alex Morgan supporter and do wish she had more playing time. However, she is a super sub and Pia knows that. What small role she might have has a big impact to this team. I admire Pia’s strategy in just putting in a “starting xi calibre” player in the second half, when half of the opponent’s team is simply exhausted. With that, nobody can get caught up Alex Morgan’s speed and aggression. Well played, Sundhage.
• I like how she instills trust in players like Morgan and Rodriguez. Morgan, coming off the bench and scoring goals in dramatic fashion. Rodriguez, well, Pia continues to put her to start and we are all witnesses on how she’s almost getting there. Rodriguez is almost adapting to her new role which is a great change from the game against Canada. Give her a break, soccer ain’t at all that easy. She nearly scored yesterday, and that hole in left field she slipped into was already an accomplishment.
• Lastly. Guys it’s a mother ‘effin friendly. A friendly. A friendly means that it has no bearing to the scorecard whatsoever. It is a time to experiment and give players more room to grow. Sundhage knows what she is doing, that’s why she’s the coach. With her calm demeanor and patience, most people would gladly have her as a coach.

• Why crossbar why? I feel really bad for you Megan.
• again…why does the crossbar hate Rapinoe so much? 
• Canada shoots…hits the bermuda triangle of the goal, op, as long as you do that to canada too, i don’t hate you crossbar. 
• Abby, if you can’t goal using your head, try with your foot. REALLY. Can work. And it did…good job. 
• Lightning, you only play so much games. Make it count, don’t just stand there please.
